There appears to be a lot of controversy about noise vs no noise ... in the park. Some people like to have impromptu bands playing in Beckett during the day ... some people like to sit and listen to the birds. If you think the music is loud... you should come up to Helios and sit beside the aerator for an hour :-) I know the aerator is necessary... just sayin' that it is loud. But I digress...
I'm not sure what 'new' people or 'visitors' are told when they come into the park.
If they are told... this is a nice 'quiet' place to relax... then ditch the band.
If they are told, this is a nice place where you can meet a lot of friendly social people... then keep the band.
So... check with the office (grin).
I've been coming here for 17 years ... a lot has happened over the years... we used to be a lot louder (grin). There were, however, a lot fewer people here.
The weather today was lovely... in the 80's!!! No rain (okay for 5 minutes but that is not much).
Yesterday it was 92F... and humid... but GREAT!!
It's 53F at the moment... cold cold. Well, I think that is cold.
I have no photos for this blog. Ho hum.
Someone asked me if the Outback was usable again. I don't have a clue as I forgot to check today.
The potholes are better!! Not sure why but they are no longer a '1'. I would put them at '3'. The roads are like concrete so no amount of Kubota-ing will help it. I think paving them would be the best thing... heh heh. Although the road to the back floods most years so that wouldn't work either. Oh well... drive slowly.
I really need a picture... how about this one... remember winter... ACK ACK
Today's Hump Day at Larry and Marg's had around 28 people!! Yummy food, always a variety. I ate too much cake ... Mmmmm.
These tiny mosquitoes are really beginning to piss me off. I mean REALLY piss me off. You can't even go for a walk at dusk anymore... they swarm you!!
If you are coming up on the long weekend... bring bug spray... or zappers... or long pants/sleeves for the night.
