It snowed last Wednesday just before the Hump Day Party but it didn't stick. Then it turned sunny! Go figure. Weird October.
The cormorant is back... it has to leave. They eat TONS of fish and will destroy the lake. If the cormorant was a road, it would be tonnes of fish ;-)
Oh come on... that was slightly humorous.
I could not do the Halloweenie pumpkin head bags this year as it hasn't stopped raining for days. It rains off and on but, if the leaves are wet, you can't pack bags so... it will not look very Halloweenie this year. I usually put them at the clubhouse, entrance to the park... along the drive. Ah well.
I've been doing it for YEARS... it is time someone else took over this volunteer job :-) I have the bags if you want to stuff them.
Here is a photo of Royce and his buddy Figaro. (Thanks Kim and Wendy for the photo!) I have permission to post it.
Royce said that Figaro took 12 people for a nice sunny day ride. This was taken about 10 days ago... look ... no sweater or coat.
CHRISTMAS IS IN TWO MONTHS!!! Time for the neverending carols in the stores .... shoot me.
The potholes are BAD. I saw a new load of gravel so maybe it is going to be used to fill in the canyons. :-) It is nearly impossible to fix the road with the Kubota. It's like dragging a blade over cement.
Here are a few photos from Judy (thanks!).
She said: "Here are a couple of photos I took of the sun setting and shining on the trees beyond the lake."
Pretty, it looks like they are on fire. (as always, click photo to enlarge)
Update ... JL has finished the flat area of the deck and is working on the railings and side. Can you say... SNOW !! lol
It is 40F at the moment. I still have no idea when the seasonal water will be turned off as I haven't asked... as I keep forgetting hah. If you want to know, phone the office. Most of the people have left for the season and there are only a few diehards who are staying in the seasonal area for the winter.
As I don't have much for the blog... here is a photo a friend of mine took while she was kayaking on a lake near Kelowna, B.C. It appears that she is a much better photographer than me (shocked look). It looks like a Group of Seven painting... you HAVE to enlarge it.
I will leave you with a photo of the eye of a friend of mine's kitty. Very artistic and.... spooky.
(no blog next week as I will be in CUBA!)
